Alain Tanner’s ninth fictional feature film, No Man’s Land, marks the filmmaker’s return to Switzerland after two films shot abroad [Les Années Lumière (Light Years Away) filmed in Ireland and Dans la ville blanche (In the White City) in Portugal]. The film’s Swiss premiere was held by the Cinémathèque suisse in spring 1985.
